London has countless, amazing cafés, restaurants and eateries where you can go for a lunch, brunch, desserts or an extensive dinner. So many places to choose from, so if you have a limited time in the city, like say – a weekend, then you should definitely take a look at the list below. Here i round up a few hotspots to experience diverse and tasty foods on your next trip to London:
- PEGGY PORSCHEN CAKES
As a huge fan of their pastel pink Instagram feed, filled with awesome pastry inspiration, i knew i should not miss this pretty little bakary shop. Peggy Porschen Cakes is located in Belgravia, nearby the Victoria Couch station and it looks just as cute as on the Instapics. Everything is pink in here, inclusive your cuddly decorated cupcake. A must-visit for a sweat treat when you are in London.
2. WILD FOOD CAFE
Cosy and colourful, that is Wild Food Café. This eatery offers a vegan, gluten-free, organic and raw menu in a bright & buzzy location with a view from first floor on Neals Yard in London’s Covent Garden. My favourite in this restaurant? The delicious raw chocolate and berry tart!
1st Floor, 14 Neal’s Yard, Covent Garden, London
3. FIX COFFEE
If you’re after the ultimate coffee shop experience, Fix is by far a vibrant space to be enjoyed! You can find this coffee shop on the Whitecross Street. They have a great array of quality blends and filter options, but its not just about the coffee. Expect high-quality teas, pastries, fruit and cereal bars. The second Fix location is on Curtain Road.
161 Whitecross St, London
Spanish tapas, but at a high level? Barrafina reflects the tastes of Spain, offering modern, authentic Spanish cuisine at its three locations in London. There is a la carte menu with the specials of the day that are prepared at the bar before your eyes. Totally fresh!
26-27 Dean St, Soho, London
5. SKETCH (Afternoon Tea)
A visit to London is not complete without the typical British indulgence: Afternoon Tea. If you’ve explored the shopping area around Covent Garden, Soho, Piccadilly and Mayfair, make sure to stop at Sketch for a delicious cup of tea served with chic scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream, finger sandwiches, Battenberg cake and maybe a glass of Champagne in the Gallery restaurant, decorated throughout in the prettiest shade of pink.
9 Conduit St, Mayfair, London
If you’re a fan of Asian food and want to try some New-wave Taiwanese food in old school surroundings, Xu is the place to be! They serve authentic, refined Chinese cuisine with a Westernised twist. The decor is atmospheric and takes you back in time to ’30s.
30 Rupert St, London
